It is amazing to see the spectrum of girls to young women represented by Songbirds through Ensemble. I think the experience the younger singers encounter, the examples they witness, and the trajectory shown to the parents of the littlest is truly invaluable. As a musician and as a parent, I am inspired and grateful.

About Northwest Girlchoir
Amore choristers in Canberra, Australia, June 2009
Our Mission
Northwest Girlchoir creates exceptional choral performances through a music education program for young women that values artistic excellence, community, and respect for diversity.
The Choir
Led by Artistic Director Sara Boos, Northwest Girlchoir is comprised of five auditioned choir levels—Fresca, Amabile, Vivace, Amore, and Ensemble and three non-auditioned programs—Songbirds, Music Makers, and Prep Choir—and serves over 300 girls, ages 4-18, from all over the Puget Sound region in two locations, Seattle and Bellevue.
Choristers learn musicianship, vocal technique, performance skills, and participate in mainstage concerts, outreach events, and collaborations, touching thousands of audience members with their critically-acclaimed choral sound and artistry.
The auditioned choirs participate in regional, national, and international choral festivals and tours. Recent festival appearances include the Pacific International Children’s Choir Festival in Eugene, Oregon, the American Masterpieces Choral Festival in Seattle, and Festival 500 in Newfoundland, Canada. In 2009, the Amore choir toured Eastern Australia and gave ten concerts. In 2010, the Vivace choir toured Hawaii.
