About The Event

Come hear Northwest Girlchoir close our 49th season on a joyful note as we present our annual June concert, Because We're Happy! 200 choristers from all six Northwest Girlchoir ensembles (grades 1-12) perform choral repertoire from around the world, spanning musical history in one unified concert event. Join us as we explore happiness in all its forms, from the ridiculous to the sublime. Laugh along with Rossini's musical jokes in Duetto Buffo di Due Gatti, marvel at the gleeful rhythmic complexities of Diana V. Sáez's Festejo, celebrate the life of Stephen Sondheim with his expansive showstopper Sunday, and "clap along if you know what happiness is to you" while all choristers combine for the Pharrell Williams smash hit, Happy.
