About The Event
Our advanced choirs will tell stories through song, with selections from fairy tales and
folklore, books and opera, and songs that underscore the importance of each person’s
story. You’ll hear Douglas Wagner’s ode to beloved children’s books “Stories of My Life,”
Elizabeth Alexander’s “Let it Matter,” a call to let in other people’s stories and build
relationships, Caldwell & Ivory’s “If Wishes Had Wings” about Hiroshima paper crane
folder and peacemaker Sadako Sasaki, and one of the orchestra-to-vocal arrangements
from Margaret Dryburgh’s prisoner-of-war choir.
Featuring Amabile, Vivace, Amore and Ensemble.
