Sign up below to receive information about the 2023-2024 season.
  • Prep Choir & Fresca rehearse one day per week.
  • All rehearsals take place at North Seattle Church.
  • Rehearsals begin in September and end in June.

Choristers in Prep Choir learn the fundamentals of music, focusing on rhythm, pitch, and tone. Through games in rehearsals and preparing for mainstage concerts, Prep Choristers enjoy an engaging atmosphere that builds a foundation as they grow through Northwest Girlchoir. With opportunities to perform on their own and with older girls, choristers also gain confidence singing on stage and connecting with the audience.

In Fresca, choristers will build their knowledge, skills, and confidence in a number of areas, including healthy vocal technique, using music notation, tracking rhythm and pitch notation, and so much more!

Conductor Jura Litchfield leads the Fresca choir, which builds a foundation for enjoyment and success in Northwest Girlchoir. There is focus on developing concentration, attention span, and the skills to work together as a group. Our goals are to learn to sing with relaxed, healthy tone and beautiful vowels, follow a music score, read basic rhythms and pitch patterns, to sing unison and 2-part songs, and to have fun!
