Family Folk Dance
Please join us for our Family Folk Dance event on Saturday, October 11!

Parents, choristers, siblings, and alums of all ages are welcome to join us for this fun intergenerational experience. Come dance with us and get to know our Northwest Girlchoir community!
We will need help moving auditorium chairs before and after the event. Please contact Ann@northwestgirlchoir.org if you can lend a hand.
Our folk-dance caller and instructor is Anna Mansbridge, the wonderful Artistic Director for Seattle Early Dance. See below for her bio.

We are having a snack potluck! Please bring a nut-free snack to share with the community!

Choristers and siblings grade 6 and up do not need to be chaperoned.

Choristers and siblings grade 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

We hope you’ll join us for this all-ages, family-fun, community-building event!
Anna Mansbridge, MFA, BEd Hons (UK) educator, choreographer and dancer, was on the faculty of the Creative Dance Center (founded by Anne Green Gilbert in 1981), in Seattle, WA, for 24 years, and she directed Kaleidoscope Dance Company for 9 years. She has taught dance to people of all ages in different educational contexts, including private studios, public schools, community centers and universities. Anna has led workshops at national and international daCi (dance and the Child international) conferences. Anna is the Founder (in 2000) and Artistic Director of Seattle Early Dance, a company dedicated to recreating dances from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. She has directed and choreographed early opera and dance concerts in the USA and in Europe. In June 2018 Anna had the honor to collaborate with Kaleidoscope Dance Company and Northwest Girlchoir on a piece for the latter’s 45th Anniversary Concert, “Poetry in Motion.”
