Who We Are
Since 1972, Northwest Girlchoir has inspired thousands of girls, families, and audiences across the Puget Sound and around the world. In addition to hosting a dynamic concert season, we regularly commission new choral compositions, participate in local festivies and civic events, and travel to regional and international festivals and concert tours. Choristers collaborate with engaging conductors/teachers, peers, and guest artists while developing as confident musicians, performers, teammates, and leaders.
Our Mission
Northwest Girlchoir transforms the lives of girls and young women through outstanding music education, dynamic choral performances, and an enduring community.
Vision
A world where everyone is transformed by the beauty of choral music and the power of women’s voices.
Values
Artistic Excellence: Vibrant music making of the highest quality.
Education: Developing each chorister’s musicianship, vocal skills, confidence, and potential.
Equity: Ensuring equitable opportunities for all participants regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic
background, or sexual orientation.
Community: Nurturing friendships, shared values, and pride in belonging.
Collaboration: Fostering teamwork while valuing each person’s contribution.
Service: Sharing our talents to enrich the greater community.
Global Awareness: Cultivating understanding of, and connections with, the world and its people.
Our Commitment to Racial Equity
Northwest Girlchoir is committed to racial equity, creating a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing experience for all choristers, families, staff, and audiences.
