Liebe
(German – "love")
Grades 1 & 2
Wednesdays, 4:30-5:15pm or 5:30-6:15pm
September-June
2150 N 122nd St, Seattle
Through song, game, and dance in rehearsals and concerts, non-auditioned choristers in Liebe enjoy an engaging atmosphere that builds a foundation for them to grow through Northwest Girlchoir. Rehearsals focus on developing basic pitch, rhythmic, and group skills while noticing, wondering, watching, and listening. With opportunities to perform on their own and with older singers, choristers have older mentors to look up to as they gain confidence and musical skills.

Yǒu Yì 友谊
(Mandarin – "friendship")
Grades 3+
Monday or Tuesday, 5:00-6:00pm
September-June
2150 N 122nd St, Seattle
Yǒu Yì is a non-auditioned choir that uses folk songs, canons, and beginning choral music as they learn to sing together. Choristers develop melodic and rhythmic skills, learn to follow a piece of printed music, and develop collaborative skills and focused attention. Yǒu Yì sections perform together on main stage concerts with older singers to build confidence and joyful musical memories.
