"My name is Amelia, and I joined Northwest Girlchoir in 2016, when I was in 4th grade. I just graduated from the program in June 2026. I loved being in Northwest Girlchoir because of the wonderful community and the friends I made over the last 10 years. NWGC felt to me like a magical space, separate from the rest of my life, separate from all the troubles that might be happening in other aspects of my day or in the world at that time. Singing together with people you care deeply about and who you know care deeply about you is rejuvenating, and this is what NWGC lets you do.

Choir provides just as amazing an experience for someone joining in high school as it does for someone joining in elementary school. Some of my friends joined NWGC only a few years before graduation, and they too talk about the amazing community, how included they've felt, how many friends they've made, how much they'll miss choir after graduating.

I can honestly say that joining NWGC has been one of the best things I have done, and one of the most positively influential parts of my childhood, and I hope that other children who love singing can also have this opportunity."
